Essential to any PC in the fight against nasty, unwelcome pests like viruses, trojans and worms, and central to all computer security, is Anti-Virus Software.
Anti-Virus programs normally provide real-time scanning of data and any files that arrive at your PC, whether via the internet, email, CDs or disks. A database of known threats is used to check any files against and anything suspicious is placed into ‘quarantine’ or blocked altogether from arriving at your PC.
